It's A New Day!

One of the most beautiful thing about waking up in the mornings is knowing that it's another new beginning. It's a new day! It's another chance to get it right. It's a new day to make new choices, hopefully ones that are better for you.
At the beginning of this week while dealing with a headache that lasted 2 days, I also had to deal with an upset stomach for 2 days as well. I ate something on Tuesday for lunch that had my stomach in knots all of Tuesday night and on into Thursday morning. When it rains it pours, huh? I am feeling much better today. Back to normal!
Yesterday I was able to get out for a while and did the grocery shopping. I also biked for 45 minutes (the first time in about 3 days). It felt really great! Later in the evening, Greg and I took the kids for ice-cream at Coldstone. Delicious...mmmm...yummy! When we got back it was so nice and breezy outside that we decided to go for a stroll around our neighborhood. It was a very welcoming finish to our day.
This morning I woke up after 9 hours of much needed sleep feeling quite refreshed. I thought to myself that it really is great to get a new beginning each and every morning. It is so awesome that God loves us enough to provide us with all we need. His mercies are new every morning. Because of this I can have hope and so can you. Consider Lamentations 3:22-23:

22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Be blessed and remember it is really just as simple as a child sees it: Jesus loves you. Sing it if you have to but keep the tune in your head all day no matter what you are facing.
Jesus loves me
this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong
Yes Jesus Loves me
Yes Jesus Loves me

Yes Jesus Loves me

One of my favorite songs is by Avalon...

It's a new day
Oh, it's a new time
And there's a new way
I'm gonna live my life
All the old has, passed away
And the new has come
Thank God, It's a brand new day!!!

I used to ride down Dale Mabry Hwy. with the top down on my Mustang listening to this...oh such memories...
