is breath-taking! Last night my husband and I sat glued to the television as we watched history being made. It's official--Barack Obama is the President-elect and it is a proud moment for most Americans. Words cannot describe how I felt. It was exhilarating! I'm so excited for all the possibilities for America. As I watched the crowd gathered in Chicago celebrating Obama's victory, there was one thought going through my head, "the face of America is changing!" When I looked at the crowd I saw America as it is suppose to be (the way God intended for the whole world to be), united with people of all different races. I was proud!
Barack Obama stated that out of many we are one and I smiled the entire time because that was what it was like for me growing up the first half of my life in Jamaica. In fact, that is actually Jamaica's motto and I love hearing it. Unity is important. All the States of America (red or blue) need to be united and this is my hope.
America has spoken loud and clear. They want change. Never again should we hear the words, "I can't." Yes, we can! It was a beautiful moment to watch the first African-American being elected President. It's a historical moment worthy of celebration whether you voted for Obama or not. America needs to come together and embrace her destiny.

Kerry you are so right - as I watched I viewed America as "Multi-Colored." America has the face of "MANY COLORS!"
